Lady Elizabeth Boat Club

About us
In 1874 the Limerick Cup at Limerick regatta was won by Lady Elizabeth Boat Club from Shannon RC in second place. This is the first reference we have found to the Lady Elizabeth club. The crew was the same as the DUBC four that won the Vistiors’ Cup at Henley a few weeks earlier. The same four rowed at Castleconnell where they again beat Shannon in a race for a cup value £50.
The LEBC crew was:
G.N. FERGUSON (bow)
W.G. TOWERS
C.B. BARRINGTON
CROKER BARRINGTON (Stk)
J.R.H. SUTTON (Cox)
